The Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau website provides a host of useful information, including an overview of what Seattle offers to visitors, a photo tour of local sights, a form to request a Visitor Information Packet, and a useful Lodging Guide and Visitors Guide.  Online coupons are available for a number of Seattle-area attractions, transportation and lodging.

Event Calendar – Search by event type (art galleries, festivals, music, sports, theatre, tours, etc), event location and date to find out what  events are taking place in Seattle and surrounding areas during the time of your visit.

 

City of Seattle website provides information and links to attractions in Seattle and the surrounding area, local events, tips and guides for touring the area, walking tours, local weather, etc.

 

The Seattle Post Intelligencer Visitors Guide provides a comprehensive guide to local and regional attractions, art & entertainment, fairs and festivals, tours and transportation.

 

The Experience Washington website is the official site of Washington State Tourism. It provides information on places to go and things to see in Washington state broken down by region, road trips/tours, highway and weather information/updates, city and lodging information.

 

The Stay In Washington website provides tourism information about different regions in Washington, including state and federal parks, lodging and how to get around.  You can also download (PDF format) or order online the Washington State Visitors’ Guide.


Cruise
ships depart from Seattle to Alaska and other destinations. Port of Seattle website provides links to various curise line companies.


Victoria, Buchart Gardens, and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is only 2-3 hours driving distance away (plus ferry for Victoria).


Museum of Flight is only minutes away from Seattle. It has a large collection of air and space vehicles including SR-71 Blackbird, Concord and America's first presidential jet - Air Force One.

 

National Parks & Monuments -- Washington state is home to some very interesting geological features and natural scenery.
